I showed my site to Daboy, my tech mentor and best friend, and he has gone to town on my web site. It looks a LOT better, and hopefully I’ll have time to get to the shopping cart he’s helping me install. I hope you like the new look!
I’m playing around with acrylic paint pouring techniques now. I was never one for abstracts, but I just love the way this technique looks. I may integrate it with some figurative work at some point, but for now, I am mainly experimenting with it on its own. I’ve done some rock painting with it too. It’s a “paint intensive” process and I hate wasting any paint, so I have been playing with using the drippings from the pours as well.
The rock painting classes at Fae Nature are going great! What a great location for a painting class, I have to say. Check them out. Definitley a “must see” if you are ever visiting Niagara Falls. We’re going to be holding two painting classes, one for beginning painters, and one using the acrylic pouring technique. It’s pretty easy to do, but the technique doesn’t always work exactly as planned. I like that, because I am a bit of a control freak with my paint work, and I needed something to help me loosen up a bit.
