AWD stands for Apprentice Water Dog
Wiz is a Portuguese Water Dog, DOB: 4/15/2000.
This is BIS Am/Mex/Int CH Del Sur's Pacific Wizard, AWD (AKA "Wiz") - a Champion Portuguese Water Dog, owned by Marian Solomon of Hawaii. Marian was given this portrait to commemorate Wiz's recent Best in Show, at the Portland Kennel Club, Ridgefield, Washington. I created a CafePress Shop for Marian so she can wear her portrait of Wiz to the shows, and there is one of Wiz and one of his progeny, "Docker" there as well.
What you will need to commission a portrait:
1) Several good quality photos of your pet, including close-ups on the face and full body shots, scanned in and sent to me via email.
2) Tell me something about your pet. What are their little quirks, moods, what kind of personality do they have?
3) Indicate the size of the final print you want to have. It is a good idea to check with a service bureau or printer first, if you wish to print any size larger than standard letter size. Some will print to canvas, which makes an excellent quality portrait for framing. If you cannot find this service, let me know, for an extra $25.00 I can send you a print on canvas up to 8x10". I will also set up a CafePress shop so you can order t-shirts, mugs, hats and other gift items.
4) If you have a preference for a background, let me know - otherwise, I will use my intuition.
5) Choose a print-size that represents the largest size that you plan to have printed. You will be able to scale the images down, but cannot scale them to a larger size without losing resolution. There is a larger fee because the processing time for the digital output is longer, and because they must be delivered via CD, rather than through the Internet.
What you will get:
You will receive a high-resolution graphic computer file of your portrait that you can take to a local printer, to have printed either on canvas or high-quality paper. You will not have to worry about shipping damage, and will be able to use this portrait in any way you choose, including on posters, cards, and promotional materials. With this license, I retain full copyright to the image, but allow you ongoing reproduction rights. This means you may use the portraits for commercial and promotional use, and I may resell the image now or in the future for commercial purposes, including but not limited to clip-art, commercial use, posters, etc. By clicking on the following icon and paying for the portrait you are acknowledging that you understand and accept these conditions.
