Digital Illustrations: Faux Stained Glass

Brandi was the featured illustrator for the 2003 American Media "Zodiac" Calendar, in distribution October 2002 (Faux Stained Glass). Faux Stained Glass pieces are entirely created in the computer. Brandi starts with a black and white line drawing of the leaded form of the faux stained glass piece. Next, she layers in actual photographs or digtially created colored backgrounds to mimic the stained glass. Then a filtering program is run that simulates the leading. Faux stained glass is idea for many different applications. It can be printed upon plastic static cling panels giving an appearance of real stained glass at considerably less cost.
